George De Marco began his life-long entrepreneurial journey in 1981. Founder and CEO of Greater Alarm, George brought together a team of highly-motivated individuals that achieved nationwide recognition for growth, innovation and customer experience in the electronic security and life safety and custom electronics industry. After selling his company in 2004, George was asked to help kickstart the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) in 2007, a conference focused on security and life safety industry, and continues to serve as its chairman.

In 2011, he began his consultancy journey, founding DECO Ventures LLC.  Today, his firm helps entrepreneurs and executives think differently about innovation, customer experience and growth.

George received numerous business awards over the years for his volunteer service in the electronic security and life safety industry, including a life-time achievement award from the California Alarm Association, the Sara E. Jackson Award from the Electronic Security Association, and the Industry Hall of Fame from Security Sales & Integration magazine. 

A published author of industry articles, keynote speaker, and moderator, George continues his entrepreneurial journey and his life-long quest to keep learning from exceptional businesses and people.

Patrick Doyle

Mr. Doyle is a Managing Director of The Elm Consulting Group International LLC. The Elm Consulting Group International LLC (ELM) is a specialized international management consultancy, focused on supporting our clients’ development and implementation of effective health, safety and environmental (HSE) management programs.  ELM provides a limited number of clients with expert technical advice on health, safety and environmental issues, including HSE management system development, assessment, and implementation.  In addition, ELM supports client HSE compliance and management system audit programs through participation as an audit team member or audit team leader. 

The scope of client services focuses support for client needs at both domestic and international locations. Working side-by-side with our clients, ELM consultants assist large multi-national corporations and individual operations to deploy leading edge HSE systems and procedures. With offices in Connecticut, California, Kentucky, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Sao Paulo and Jakarta, and a long list of HSE consultants globally on which to draw, ELM is able to provide our clients with superior attention and support with local knowledge and awareness.

George Bish

George Bish’s interest in technology stems from his early involvement with computer science class and the A/V club in high school. He continued this journey in the U.S. Navy as an Electronics Technician, and transitioned to a bench repair then installations in the A/V industry. George’s introduction to the world of security and life safety came when he was working as a Nurse Call system designer and installer. After learning that they needed a way to ensure that residents did not exit the building George designed an access control system using Radio Shark parts. It was so successful that the owner began selling the system. He later took a position with Rollins Protective Services in 1989 where he officially embarked on his Life Safety journey.

Since then George has held positions with Brinks Home Security, Entergy Security, ADT, The System Depot, SWS LLC, and MasTec AT. He has his NICET Level IV in Fire Alarm Systems and is a Senior Instructor with ESA’s National Training School. George is now the Director of Licensing for Ring Protect Inc (an Amazon Company) providing strategic direction to ensure that the company is compliant with all regulatory requirements related to Security & Life Safety.

George has dedicated his career to promoting the advancement of the Security, Fire, and Life Safety industry. He began working at the state level with NCBFAA and progressed to the National Level serving on NFPA 70, 72, and 730/731 as well as various ESA, TMA, and SIA committees. George has received many industry awards for his stewardship, but the two he is most proud of are the Sara E. Jackson Memorial Award by ESA in 2015 and the SBCA President’s Award in 2016.

Michael Gips, CPP, CSyP, CAE, is the principal of Global Insights in Professional Security, LLC, a firm that helps security providers assert thought leadership and heighten brand awareness in a crowded marketplace. It conducts research and prepares reports and presentations on security topics, and it builds and harnesses an encyclopedic library of security incidents for planning and training purposes on behalf of corporations and government agencies. Michael was previously Chief Global Knowledge Officer at ASIS International, serving as an internal subject matter expert and researcher, public speaker, chief of Editorial Services, member of the ASIS Foundation Research Committee, and key resource to the CSO Center for Leadership & Development.  Before that, as an editor for ASIS’s Security Management  magazine, he wrote hundreds of articles and columns on virtually every topic in security. In his early career he was an attorney who worked on death-penalty cases.

Mike has a B.A. in history and Spanish from Tufts University, and a juris doctorate from Harvard Law School. In the security arena, he holds ASIS’s Certified Protection Professional designation and the Chartered Security Professional designation, bestowed by the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals. He also has multiple certificates in security and business subjects, including from Penn’s Wharton School of Business, Tel Aviv University International, and the IE Business School in Madrid.

Reitman Consulting provides financial consulting, valuation, general accounting services, transactional services, tax compliance, and tax representation services to security alarm companies in twenty-three states, Mexico, Canada and the EEC.  Mr. Reitman is a frequent lecturer to Alarm Industry trade groups and associations and was selected as the Person of the Year 2019 by the Texas Burglar and Fire Alarm Association, received the Mark Schubert Associate of the Year Award from the California Alarm Association, and was  to the Electronic Security Industry Hall of Fame in 2017. 

Twenty-four years in the Security Alarm industry.  Prior to forming Reitman Consulting, Mr. Reitman was Vice President of Acquisitions for Select Security, and Director of Acquisitions and Business Development for Protection One Alarm Monitoring, where he participated in more than $400 million of alarm account transactions.   He began his career at Coopers and Lybrand, Certified Public Accountants where he was an audit manager with the Emerging Business Practice Group.

Becky Lane

Years of sales experience in the electronic security association industry, as well as the printing and marketing communications industries.

Past Vice President of Membership and Programs for The Monitoring Association, TMA, (formerly the Central Station Monitoring Association). Becky not only grew the membership to over a million dollars in dues revenue, but helped develop the Contract Monitoring Council, expand the Proprietary Monitoring Council, and lead the creation of the International Outreach Forum. She also served as staff liaison for the ASAP program.

Prior to her 10-year tenure with TMA, Becky was the top printing sales representative with sales over six million dollars year to year for S&S Graphics serving Fortune 500 companies.

Skilled in project management, budgeting, operations management, business development and marketing. She holds certification from the ANSI Standards organization.

Carol also has decades of experience expanding organizations, as well as a variety of security organizations in the US and overseas.

She entered the industry to take the helm of Security Systems News, in its startup phase, developing it into the industry’s most respected and lucrative security publication, while creating its related products, events, and websites.

She went on to become the Director of Business Development for Securitas Systems U.S. as they spun off from Securitas Guarding Group in Sweden, into a publicly traded billion-dollar international company. Working directly with the US president, the CTO in Sweden, sitting on the international marketing committee and other international branches around the globe.

Carol worked with Axis Communications as their director of Business Development for healthcare and education, before returning to publishing with Cygnus Publishing, helping them to reorganize their slumping Security Dealer magazine.

For six years she grew DICE Corp., after the owner returned from an extended hiatus. Expand the company’s annual profits by multiple millions of dollars. Establishing their hosted solutions offering, while promoting their telecom company, IPtelX sales.

Has over 30 years of experience in the security industry. 12 years as a general and regional manager at Wells Fargo, later consolidating Wells Fargo’s central stations before joining ADT as general manager of the largest Customer Monitoring Center in the greater New York region.

He was the director of the Rollins National Center in Atlanta, acquired by Ameritech in 1997. He was named Director of one of the largest centers in the U.S. 
He subsequently joined Siemens as the Director of North American Services designing and building a state-of-the-art international contact center in Dallas TX and mirrored center in Washington D.C.

As an international consultant, he has traveled extensively working on security and life safety operations in the U.S., Central and South America, Europe and Asia.
Prior to joining Ackerman Security as Chief Operating Officer, he was the Vice President of Operations at Security Networks for five years before being acquired by Ascent Media, parent of Monitronics, called the deal of the year in 2013 by SDM magazine.

He was the co-chair of The Monitoring Association, previously (CSAA) International Committee and the Insurance Industry Liaison Committee.

Has been in the security industry for 40 years.

Starting his career in the security space working with Wells-Fargo Security. Peter was tasked with evaluating the operations of prospective acquisitions, where he was a key member in completing these projects. Wells Fargo became the second largest security company in the industry, growing from four branches to fifty-eight locations throughout the U.S., including owning a manufacturer of fire products, before the organization was sold.

Peter moved on to be the President, of Security Protective Services, a regional alarm company, for a decade before selling this company.

Given Peter’s expertise in all aspects of management, he moved on to consulting with American companies, expanding their operations in the U.S., and other countries around the globe. For twenty-nine years, Peter has been consulting in the U.S, Central and South America, Europe, and Asia, as an international expert on the processes and procedure to start and manage company expansions throughout the globe.

He brings executive skills, experience, and creative thinking to companies seeking to enhance their value proposition, achieve commercial objectives, and maintain compliance to the applicable codes and standards to reduce risk.

Prior to CG LLC, Tom was the Global Director of Life Safety & Security, Hazardous Locations and HVACR business lines at Intertek Group Plc (ETL certification mark). He was responsible for global business development, approvals and accreditations per laboratory, per vertical in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Italy, France, China, Middle East (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the U.A.E.), Thailand and India. As a member of the global senior leadership team, he enjoyed working with colleagues to implement growth and compliance strategies to expand market share, diversification of the services portfolio and to drive brand recognition.  

Tom believes in active industry participation and served on the NFPA 72 (National Fire Code), Chapter 26 (Supervising Stations), the Monitoring Associations (standards and marketing subcommittees), and was the company representative to NEMA (North American Electrical Manufacture’s Association working to advance the life safety and security industries emerging technologies, business development opportunities, and investments.
